Petitions Filed Requesting the Imposition of Antidumping and Countervailing Duties on Imports of Monomers and Oligomers from the Republic of Korea and Taiwan

Case Summary

On March 27, 2025, Arkema, Inc. filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of Monomers and Oligomers from the Republic of Korea and Taiwan. The petition alleges a dumping margin of 137.92 – 188.99% (South Korea) and 92.15 – 246.14% (Taiwan). The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.

The products subject to these investigations are certain multifunctional acrylate and methacrylate monomers, and acrylated bisphenol-A epoxy based oligomers (collectively, “certain monomers and oligomers” or “CMOs”) that are derived from chemical reactions involving the use of acrylic or methacrylic acid. The projected date of the International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is April 17, 2025. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is June 5, 2025; CVD is April 16, 2025.
