Petitions Filed Requesting the Imposition of Antidumping and Countervailing Duties on Imports of Certain Brake Drums from the People’s Republic of China and Turkey

Case Summary

On June 20, 2024, Webb Wheel Products, Inc. filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of certain brake drums from the People’s Republic of China and Turkey. The petition alleges dumping margins of 300.83% (China) and 168.34% (Turkey).  The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.

The merchandise covered by these investigations is certain brake drums made of gray cast iron, whether finished or unfinished, with an actual or nominal inside diameter of 14.75 inches or more but not over 16.6 inches, weighing more than 50 pounds. The petition provides additional detailed scope description and specific product exclusions.

The projected date of International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is July 11, 2024. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is October 18, 2024; CVD is August 21, 2024.
