Brandon Petelin, resident partner in Washington D.C., represents foreign companies, foreign governments, and U.S. importers in trade remedy proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and in litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade. Notably, he has significant experience representing manufacturers, exporters, and importers in the activated carbon, tires, solar, and xanthan gum industries in the currently ongoing antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings at the Department of Commerce. He also has experience representing companies in these industries before the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in audits, risk analysis and survey assessments, and other investigations.
Prior to joining GDLSK, Brandon worked as an International Trade Analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Import Administration, where he had significant exposure to a variety of proceedings, including antidumping and countervailing duty investigations, annual reviews, and scope and anti-circumvention proceedings.
